Is Alienware overpriced?

Allienware/ Apple no difference, same sh*t.

Connection: 200mbps / 12mbps 5Ghz wifi

It's a bit overpriced. I think it used to be worse though.

Alienware, let's not kid ourselves here, is overpriced. That's not to say it's necessarily bad, just really really bad in terms of price to performance. It's worse than getting a Mac.

 

Go with an Asus or MSi or hell, even Toshiba's gaming laptops, I've heard are okay. Make sure what you're getting can actually deliver though. don't spend more than you have to.

Definitely overpriced, but if you shop smart you get all the benefits of a boutique system without paying too much of a premium. And for a while between 2009 - 2011 Alienware was actually pretty good value in the form of the Aurora, before they changed it to have LGA1156 socketed chips instead of Bloomfield i7's.

They are expensive but they are pretty good systems and dell support is pretty good (from my own experiance)

 

But there are plenty of other boutique PC stores that sometimes have better option if pre-built is your choice!

 

Their laptops are pretty good (though you have to sell your kidneys)
