hey guys,
some time back I was in a tight budget and recently put some money and bought a computer for gaming purpose!
Normally I play games like BF4, BF3, COD ghosts, AC4, watch dogs etc.Since the new nvidia gpu's, DDR4 rams, 5th gen intel cpus etc are releasing at Q4 of this year. I was thinking whether do I have to do an upgrade!

My current rig:

Motherboard: Gigabyte G1.Sniper B5 Gaming (bought 8 months ago)
CPU: Intel core i5 4570 @ 3.2GHz (bought 3 months ago)
GPU: Sapphire Radeon r9 270X Vapor-X with OC & BOOST. (bought 1 week ago ago)
Ram: Gskill ripjaws 4GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz
HDD: Toshiba 500GB @ 5400rpm
PSU: Corsair RM 750
My suggested upgrade: MSI z97 Gaming 5 motherboard along with a core i5 5th gen processor (once it is released).

*****************************IS IT WORTH UPGRADING????*******************************

Also guys what do you think of WD blue 1Tb? is it good for gaming>??

For the love of everything get an ssd ;) 2000% worth it, the best upgrade to any machine, you won't remember how you could use your pc without it. And a 7200rpm hdd instead of a 5400 would be good too. Also, you might want to get 4 more gb of ram. You shouldn't touch the gpu, cpu or motherboard. Oh, and I don't expect ddr4 to be worth it before a couple of years.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Welcome to Linus Tech Tips!

The difference will be slightly bumped clock speed, and (most importantly) fixed temperature issues, so the chips will run cooler in general, and much cooler when overclocked, allowing for more stable overclocks at higher clocks.

Most games will run at 1080p at max settings, however some may require AA to be turned down. The 270X isn't the best card for 1080p gaming, but it's still really good.
