Go to solution Solved by DigitalHermit,

I have a WD Caviar Blue in my rig now. I don't know when I got it. Does anyone know how old this drive is?

I also have a WD Caviar as well from when vista was new.

Search using serial numbers.

Hey guys, I have this book, it was written by some guy called Shakespeare. Can anyone tell me when I bought it?

Blue is still a WD class name. Hard drives usually have the year of manufacture on the sticker if I recall correctly.

Also, Windows Vista was released at the beginning of 2007.

If you download crystaldiskinfo it will tell you the serial number and how many hours and days the drive has been running.
