I'm going to be jumping on the RGB keyboards as soon as they come out but i just cant decide what key to get. Heres a few things to note: 1.I cannot go out and try the keys 2.I play a variety of games, mainly mobas, mmos and fps. 3.i do NOT touch type (2 fingers ftw, still can type quite fast), nor do i do much typing.

If you need any more info to give proper feedback plz let me know, happy to answer. And thanks in advance.

If it's not for typing then you should go for red's or black's. A linear key is usually better for gaming, since you can spam it quicker and the "bump" doesn't get in the way. Reds are pretty light, way too light IMO. Blacks should suit most people from what I can tell.

Get a K95 because you like to play RPG's. Get a Cherry MX sampler and try it out.

I bought one of these, it is good to test
It's from max keyboards, it doesn't have all the switches, but the more common ones.

i skype ALOT

It all depends on how sensitive and the type of mic it is. A omni-directional mic will only pick up what's happening on one side of the mic and not the other side. MX Browns can be a bit loud too...

I would recommend browns for you unless you play a game where you really need to double tap at the speed of light. Reds are more for people who are very light typists, like me. Seriously, on membrane keyboards i don't even touch the pcb anymore. I will zone out an type like an entire paragraph and realize that the keyboard hasn't registered any of my strokes xD. But yeah, browns are a little quieter than reds because they have that bump slowing the spring down.

Then I don't recommend them. Red and Blacks are the quietest. I don't get why people say Browns are quiet, they are louder than reds.

But I prefer blacks over reds because they requires a little more force, which is useful since I would most likely bottom out the keys on reds (because they are non-tactile, so you don't know when it actuated.)

Well, that sucks. I personally really dislike red's because I can't even rest my hand on the damn keyboard without actuating the keys. As other people have pointed out blues also produce quite a bit of noise, while browns are suboptimal for gaming. If it has to be reds I would strongly advise you to try them out for yourself before buying a keyboard, maybe it's due to my large/heavy hands that I dislike them so much, but I really think that they're pretty useless. I'm still sticking to my opinion that blues and browns are useless for gaming, might as well get a rubberdome keyboard at this point if you're not typing a lot.

Browns aren't louder than reds unless you have your fingers slowing the spring down. Reds are quietest going down, but if released quickly are a fair bit louder than browns

That is correct as well, but I think both of their noise is negligible compared to blues. Everyone on TS hears it.

Never played WoW enough to judge it, but if you think you would need it and don't mind getting rid of the tactile bump than go for it! I deeply love reds, and it will be nice to know more people are using them ^^
