Do i really need that much power?

Hi, I'm building my first custom PC and I want to make sure that all the parts will fit together. So right know i have picked all the parts and stuff that i need to build a PC, I bought the new GA-Z97 D3H from Gigabyte, a GTX 750ti from Gigabyte, an i5 4690k processor, a seagate barracuda 2TB 7200rpm HDD, LG cd/dvd drive, and a Cooler master Extreme 2 625W. So do I really need that much power of PSU or do I have to change to less watts?

You don't HAVE to get a weaker PSU but that much is most certainly not necessary for that particular setup.

You could run your build off of a 400W, but you don't have to change to that

Nah, the psu is fine, it's more than you NEED but it never hurts to have a bit more. Remember, psus are more efficient at about 50-70% load.

While your system doesn't draw a lot of power, I would recommend getting a higher quality unit. At the very least the Corsair CX430. The Cooler Master Extreme 2 is a poor series that shouldn't be used in anyone's computer

Exactly what quan said. Any Cooler Master Extreme or Elite variant is a red flag. Avoid.
