You definitely need an Nvidia GPU to use Gsync. The 3D vision stuff is also proprietary Nvidia technology if I remember correctly, so it won't work with AMD GPUs.

AMD does have support for 3D (http://www.amd.com/e...chnologies/hd3d). But you will not be able to use the monitor's G-Sync capabilities with an AMD card. However the monitor will work just fine as a 1440p 144Hz display with an AMD card, but you will need an NVIDIA GPU for G-Sync.

My PC:

4670k      GTX 760 ACX      CoolerMaster Hyper 412s      Fractal Design Node 804      G1 Sniper M5      Corsair RM 650      WD Red 1TB     Samsung 840 Evo 120GB

I don't think AMD has any support for 3D at the moment (correct me if i'm wrong). Also you will not be able to use the monitor's G-Sync capabilities with an AMD card. However the monitor will work just fine as a 1440p 144Hz display with an AMD card, but you will need an NVIDIA GPU for 3D and G-Sync.

If youre going to get the Swift only buy it with Nvidia cards as the GSYNC and other nvidia only features are adding about 200$ extra to the cost of the monitor. Also didnt you say you were going to wait a week or so ago? Last i remember you wanted cards with the big led logo on the side but were concerned about temps. My friend has two reference 780s and they run flawlessly/ dont get too hot or too loud.
