Hey guys, first of all i would like to thank you all in advance.

On the last Cyber Monday I bought a new computer consisting of an Asus P8 Z77-V LK motherboard and 16GB (2x8GB) of Corsair Vengeance. Since the day I finished building it my computer will freeze randomly, but if any audio is playing it will continue playing as a loud humming noise. I did some research and found out the memory I have isn't actually compatible with the motherboard. I'm sick of putting up with it and am going to buy new RAM, but before I do I need help choosing compatible RAM. Could anyone point me in the right direction? I'm a moderate gamer, but also do a bit of video editing for friends, so I would like it to be 16GB of dual channel if possible.

Thank you again for any help you may be able to provide,
- Owl.

You should try manually configuring the RAM in your BIOS. They may not be getting enough power.

I had (have) a problem with random freezes, not had one in about 7 days now, i think what fixed was enabling (setting extreme) Load line calibration in my bios. This stops the voltage going up and down...not 100% on this is a fix yet, but is looking good so far.
