Anyone here have problems with their video card sagging? I'm kinda worried that mine will break eventually from the sagging.

Another question, does anyone know where to get supports for a graphics card (no backplates for a GTX 670 Power Edition)

CPU: Intel i5-2320 @ 3.9gHz

GPU: MSI GTX 670 PE @ 1411/7387

According to Toms Hardware, a little sagging won't do anything.

Yes it is. Using both screws for the PCI bracket.

My other alternative was to buy a Silverstone case with the rotated motherboard. I'd like to stay away from spending money if I could though..

Usually the screw for the PCI-E slot will remediate the issue, but if it doesn't, you really shouldn't have anything to worry about if it doesn't move much when it's pushed with your finger. I'd imagine that you'd need a really cheaply made board to end up breaking anything

It's also an aesthetics part too. Computers are mostly straight lines. A curved card looks weird :p

I should have added more to my post. It's a LAN gaming rig. It moves around a lot. :p not sure if the graphics card will enjoy that too much.

Does it wobble when you push it slightly?

The PCB bends with even a light amount of pressure on it. Like moving the power cables around. Everything else is solid (PCI bracket, heatsink, etc)

I've noticed many of the ASUS DC cards tend to sag, very heavy cards.

Never was an issue when i ran them.

How long did you use them?

Over a year.

You'll find it's a common problem.

Depending on the amount of sagging you are experiencing. At a certain point it can damage your Mobo and / or GPU.

If you cannot find a dedicated support bracket, you hardware store will have something that fits, be creative, and you can even make it not shitty-looking :D

I had actually been wondering about this since my GTX 580 (vanilla) sags quite heavily, even with a backplate. It never bothered me until recently when I got a case with a huge window.

That's exactly what I'm getting soon. I don't like sagging graphics cards. Anyways, you could use a 90 degree bracket to screw into your backplate and motherboard tray. I don't have a backplate because they don't make them for the Power Edition GTX 670, so I'm getting a case that has built in supports for the graphics card, or one with the motherboard flipped 90 degrees.

The sagging won't hurt anything but your eyes, lol.  That was one of the main reasons I went with a case with a 90 degree rotated mobo tray (Silverstone Temjin TJ11).  With the cards vertical I don't have to worry about sag, especially with heavy water blocks installed...
