I am going to be going traveling to Canada in a few days and I am looking for a recommendation on a phone carrier. I will be going to western Alberta if that helps.

They are all greedy scam artists imo. You really only have 3 choices. Bell, Rogers or Telus. Fuck them all lol

Not true, there's other smaller ones. Eastlink has a bunch of locations mostly in Nova Scotia but they have a few stores in Ontaria and random one in Vancouver and Grande Prairie. They have nation wide coverage due to partnership with other companies and offer nationwide calling (from anywhere in Canada to anywhere in canada) as a base plan, and extended US coverage. Also some of the best prices for what they offer compared to the "Big 3" especially if you BYOD - but they operate on the 1700MHz band (AWS).
