Only if you're maxing out your RAM. If you have 8GB, and use 5GB, then you add another 8 to make it 16GB, you're still going to be using 5GB and you'll see no difference whatsoever.

This

RAM is only beneficial if your system is running out of ram. If your ram is at 100% usage, then the PC will use hard drive space as overspill which is really really slow to access so your game will be effected and stutter

(if you use an APU then faster ram can benefit gaming too but not in a normal system)

I`m kinda puzzled. Does adding more Ram to gaming notebooks do really boost gaming experience\performance? Kinda noob in this kinda tech stuffs...

It depends on current RAM utilisation, if you're running out and then yes it will make a difference. My computer could do with 8GB because at 4GB I'm maxxing it out and it's getting pretty bloody annoying.

This is a great explanation.

Only upgrade if you have less than 8. Games nowadays will not use more than 8 (most probably not, at least)

Yup. Practically try to keep ram usage up to 75% and no more. If ram usages goes beyond that, the computer will start to slow down and most time stutter because there are hardly any space available to send data to the pc. So it fluctuates.
