Hi guys...

 

I just bought a new computer but i found something weird...this problem happens randomly but sometimes the monitor went blank but the whole PC still running...GPU still running CPu running even i can still see the debug LED from the mobo still working...i dunno what caused this problem...maybe one of you guys can help me whats wrong....

 

Oh and i used to suspect the HDD failure (because the HDD is RMA one) then i bought a new ssd and use it as a boot drive only...i still install the games and save the other data on my HDD...

check if your GPU drivers is updated

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

yeah im currently using AMD driver 14.7 

hmm

 

what about display connections?

 

will suggest using 14.4 thou

 

beta can be a headache

 

what are the gpu temps?

 

use GPU-Z ID

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

well im using HDMI as the connection....hmmm i used 14.4 before and this problem also occurs....GPU temps in idle its around 49-51C if on game...its around 70-80ish....

im using msi r9-290 and the PSU is corsair CS750M 

yeah almost random...sometimes it happens when i browsing the web...sometimes happens when im playing games or streaming vids...but sometimes in 2-4 days it didnt occurs at all...

Make sure all the cables aren't loose.

Apparently this is a common problem.

 

I also suggest contacting MSI/AMD to see if they have a solution.

Maybe an RMA check?

cables checked...nothing loose...well as for RMA i still have a pretty bad trauma with RMA in my country...my HDD is a good example...i send the HDD for RMA when i got it back the HDD often stops....but i will reconsider it...

 

btw what do u mean by common problem?many ppl suffers from same thing?

The current stable drivers are 14.4, install those and you should be good :)

suggest RMA the GPU since

 

 

might be the VRAM black screen problem

Yes a quick search on google relieved that a lot of people suffer from this problem.

 

People swapped a graphics card and they had everything working without; without any Black screens

hmmmm this problem is weird....i knw it sounds crazy but i try to remove all suspected "hardware" but just now the PC went blank again when im playing game...the whole system still running..i also try to unplug then plug the cable but its not working...is RMA only the solution?
