Just set a modest overclock up for my cpu and just wanted to make sure temps were good. I have an i5 3570k with a CM Hyper 212 EVO Overvolt: 0 Overclock:4 GHZ

When I was running Prime95 My cpu was 4 GHZ at 100% load and temps maxed out at 77C (using coretemp) I'm a bit of a nub at overclocking and just wanted to see if these temps were good.

Anything below 85 max would be fine for me.

Do you have volts set to auto? Should be able to get away with like 1.10vcore which will drop your temps lower than that.

I upped the turbo boost voltage (now .12) and got cpuz, at idle vcore is about 1 volt and when at 4 ghz at max load it cpuz is reporting a core voltage of  1.248v

For just 4GHz that's too much voltage, try 4.2 at that voltage.

What should my voltage/temps be at 100% load and 4 ghz?

Depends on CPU. I think stock voltage should work at 4Ghz personally or at least 1.1v

Also use the quote button when you reply to someone so they see it :)

Correction in bold.

nope. I meant 4.2.

That's 4.2GHz at the voltage he was running at (~1.25v)
