Which will benefits more in gaming when its come to doing a 2 way configurations from NVIDIA, x2 GTX 760 or x2 GTX 780? Will there be any issues with games like BF4, LoL, Titanfall, Tera Rising, Far Cry, Watch Dogs, Crysis, Metro when running at 1080p/1440p? Thus, I'll be pairing it up with my overclocked i5-4690k.

Two 760s perform closely to a single 780 (I think), so obviously the dual 780s are better than the 760s, but cost roughly twice as much.

dual 760's can outperform a 780ti in some SLI optimized games

Two 760s are better than a 780TI. BUT, it is ill advised as thye are low end and if a game does not support SLI, then you'll be stuck with a really low end GPU.

LoL, Tera(don't quote me on this one), and Watch dogs don't have SLI support or very minimal

Titanfall has okay SLI support

BF4, Crysis, Metro and farcry have pretty good SLI support ...

Also I know you can answer this I KNOW you can what's a bigger number 780 or 760... 2x780>2x760>780>760

I was thinking of the 760 RoG MARS, which in Linus' video, performs about as well as his 780. I understand that the numbers are different with individual cards and non-over locks etc, my bad.

the 760 RoG MARS will only outperform a 780 or 780ti in SLI enabled games. otherwise it will run like a normal 760

this is because it is 2 GTX 760 chips on one card

Okay so now I'm tempting to buy Dual GTX 760

always go for a high end card over dual low-end cards.

it won't be worth the extra cash for SLI 760's unless you already own one.

if you are playing a non-sli game you will only be using one 760

I don't own any graphic cards yet, I guess I can just go out and buy the GTX 780 then since some of the game I listed doesn't go too well with SLI (don't want another card just sitting there doing nothing), might be wrong idk *new to computer building*

I personally suggest one 780 over two 760s.

If you wanna read up about SLI you can check this reallllly long post I made in another forum about it. http://kbmod.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=6212&sid=37eb6a07ddd0d5f5f3cb17b978f7cead I think I'll copy this post here one day.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

Yesterday I have installed my 2nd GTX660 into my rig and it beats the 780 in every game that supports SLI, which I was surprised on big time. I'm talking 1080p, dunno bout higher res.

If one does not fail at times, then one has not challenged himself.

the 2GB VRAM limit will be an issue with higher res above 1080P

the ROG MARS GPU cost as much as a 780Ti

while the MARS is faster than the 780 and original Titan

you cannot push res beyond 1080P without hitting the VRAM limit

with the 3GB models, you still can go 1440P very High

^ not true. vRAM usage is purely dependent on the game. Watch Dogs and Titanfall will happily use 3GB+ of vRAM at 1080p, but SSAA-ing Sleeping Dogs to 4k res (1080p base) barely hits 2GB. Then we have Prototype 2, which has some of the best texture quality I've ever seen in some places, which caps out somewhere around 1GB vRAM usage? Or Dark Souls 2, which doesn't even hit 2GB vRAM usage using GeDoSaTo to downsample from 4K res. It's purely per-game. Resolution has very little to do with how much vRAM is actually used. Today, I think more vRAM is better, but it's almost 100% dependent on game, rather than resolution.

good point

Watch-doge is like one of the most crazy un-optimized game ever

even the 780Ti will struggle with 1440P Ultra

but still the MARS have heat issues since there are 2 GPUs in one card and the cooler is barely sufficient and not OC friendly

I would go with the single 780. Games are gonna need more power. For a while, we had it good. Only a handful of games were pushing the limits. Since PC gaming started, the games started becoming more taxing on a system. It's inevitable. It would be much more ideal to throw in a 2nd 780 later if you wanted to extend the life of your system a little longer. In contrast, the 2 760s will fall behind faster.
