Gif as desktop background?

Just wondering, is there any way to make a gif a desktop background and still have it move?

i have seen it done but from what i know its one hell of a pain to set up

no, i am sorry, it was the first thing i found.

i guess you have to try software, there is no implemented support 

the problem is, that every programm that tries to enable this feature probably needs access to the registry.

The thing is it was always there but disabled

i think it was enabled in vista anyway you can use deskscapes as well. (by stardock)

 

Dreamscene has its own dedicated section in deviant art

I did use that apps from the same developer before

it was all good but that didn't work for me,though it wasn't the apps fault it was my messed up pirated windows

 

 

i proudly say i use W8.1 genuine now !!!!!!!

Does 8.1 support gif backgrounds?

 

I don't see why this wouldn't be turned on if it's already there. Kinda stupid.
