Any motorcycle experts?

Hi Everyone.

 

I recently bought a used motorcycle for near to dirt pricing. 1980 Yahama X650 G Maxim

 

 

However the starter-relay button is missing and the module is just broken. (Kill switch is with it.)

 

I kept trying to find a new starter relay (switch thing) and I can't find one for the model I have.

 

Would a universal, or generation later starter switch work? I

Yes, you can use a universal switch. It may not look original but it will be functional.

Find your nearest redneck, there's a 50/50 chance he will have one. Failing that, check Ebay, or make a wanted ad on craigslist.

I actually ended up finding the part on partpak. 

 

Every other vendor had it out of stock. 

 

I assume that is presumable for a 34 year old bike.
