So I've had my rig running for about 6 months and haven't had any huge problems, but for the past few months I've started to notice that the CPU is getting really hot, like up into the 90s. The build is as follows:

AMD A10-6800K (stock speeds)

Corsair H100i (push config)

Gigabyte GA-F2A85X-UP4

Asus R9 280X

Patriot Viper Xtreme (1x8)

Corsair Carbide Air 540

Ultra X4 750W PSU

I've tried resetting the BIOS to make sure it's not over-volting/overclocking the CPU, so the only thing I can guess at this point is software. Maybe I'm stupid, who knows lol. Any help would be appricated.

Have you checked the voltage? If not download CPUZ and check it. Run something that's pushing the cpu where your seeing the 90's. Your looking for "Core Voltage".

Intel I5 4670k @4.6GHz // Corsair H100I // Asrock Fatal1ty Z97 Killer // Gigabyte R9 280x rev 2 // Sound Blaster Z

Evga 600b // 8G G.Skill Ripjaws X @2133Mhz // Corsair Spec-01 // Muskin Chronos 120G // Seagate Barracuda 1TB

Voltages seem fine, the highest it got was 1.334 volts. Stock is 1.3V, so it's probably the BIOS doing something. Sadly though I got it to 90 on Titanfall, and it's hard for me to get the game going and all that, so I'm running Prime-95 and Heavyload, and the temps are around 83. Is that normal temps for AMD? I know they ran hot but this is a little extereme.

Sounds like a thermal issue, replace paste if possible. Is the H100 new. Maybe not mounted properly? Or maybe the pump is dead=/

Think AMD rates it at 71.3°C max. Make sure your fans are blowing set them to 100%, then check.

Check and or user better Thermal paste and Make sure your FANS are connected correctly to your Waterblock, Depending where it is on your case you may Benefit from Intake or Exhaust.

Try this: check your rad for dust, change the thermal compound and check the pump is working, I have a h100i and can run an i5 3570K @4.2GHz with temps around the 60s so something sounds wrong for you. if you used stock thermal compound that came pre applied with the cooler I have had problems with it not spreading on the cpu properly so that may be the same fore you
