RGB backlit mechanical keyboards

I was wondering why are there no RGB lighting on mech boards. Is it too expensive? Or is there no market for it?

I would just love for this to be a thing since I change my mind all the time on the backlight I want. That's why I have 2 different ones

 

What are your guys thoughts on this, do you think there's a market for it?

I'd love to see RGB mech KB's! :wub:  With customizable keys and such, but I've heard that customizable colors and keys cannot bee achieved via hardware, they are software driven....hence, unlikely that Ducky, for example, would be able to do it. I have a Thermaltake Level 10M mouse, I can change the color of the LED on it, with  scroll, left click and the Thermaltake eSport logo in different colors....but, I'd have to use the installed software to change the colors. Same goes with my old Logitech G9 v1.0, I can change the color of the LED (only one color at a time though, not like the Level 10M mouse which can have different colors on different sectors at the same time), and yet again this can only be done via software.

I think RGB keyboards don't exist yet because it may be to expensive though, look at keyboards entering the market already like the Roccat Ryos, 150euros!

An RGB mechanical keyboard would likely exceed the $220 price range and it's not very profitable for a company to sell it as it's a very niche group of buyers, hence the reason why they don't exist yet
