Hey guys,

My pendrive broke apart i just need some tips how and where smolder the pins from usb plug. I already smoldered wires to usb plug pins so now i just need to connect them to pcb. The problem is that holes from usb are completly devoid of conductor so i must find another place to connect wires. Pics below. Thanks for any kindess or help.

You should just be able to flood the USB contacts on the PCB with solder and it'll stick.

Welcome to Linus Tech Tips by the way!

I'm sure this is quite obvious to the OP. Anyone going through this process to get their USB working again when a new one is so cheap is more then likely looking to get the USB working again temporarily so they can get their data off of it.

One of the data pins... did they copper lane went out of it O.o? (i mean the one with that... hole?)

buy a new one

Maybe he wants to recover the data on the usb-drive, buying new stuff isn't the solution of all problems.

Yeah, unfortunatelly this is my gf pendrive and she doesnt have any backup. She really needs that data on this pendrive. I will try with flooding this holes. We will see. Thanks again.

Ah ok,  Good luck on getting it working, best of wishs

It's a flash drive. If anything, it's the medium you should have your backups on. Lol

Trust valuable data on $5.....
