Hey guys. So I'm building my first gaming pc and i have experience building pc's so im fine with that but Im building the Austin Evans Photon Build which is recommended with an AMD Athlon X4 760X and A 8gb crucial ballistic Ram. Then on Newegg I found a bundle with an AMD A8-5500 trinity quad core APU and HyperX Fury Black Series 8GB ddr3 RAM. Also I eventually plan on getting a grapics card. Both the combo and the separate Athlon and Crucial are basically the same price. Would it be better for my pc to get the combo with the APU and different Ram and then get a graphics card or should I just stick to the Austin Evans Photon Build ? Links are below

Welcome to Linus Tech Tips!

I'd get the 750K and a dedicated GPU. The A8 is pretty much the same CPU portion, but it's locked, and includes integrated graphics really only good for low-settings gaming or HTPC use.

Also, HyperX Fury ftw

You would better off with an i3 build, or even one of those G3528's and OC'ing it to ~4.5GHz.

As for the choices you've up forth, the Athlon would be better, and you can get slightly cheaper ram, i'd recommend this.

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

Arguing with religious people is like explaining to your mother that online games can't be paused...
