I have been dual booting Ubuntu 14.04 and Windows 7 for a while now. And it has worked. Just now I was playing Bioshock and the screen went black and my fans started ramping up the RPM. I shut down my computer, and now I can boot in to my BIOS and my Ubuntu partition just fine, but when I try to load up Windows 7, it just blackscreens. Another weird thing is: when I tried to do a fresh install using my Windows 7 install disc, it just doesn't boot with it. I went to my BIOS and booted up from my DVD drive, but it just tries to boot up and then blackscreens. Any ideas as to what is causing my problem? I would prefer not to have to do a clean install, but I can if necessary. Also, I am able to access my Windows file tree from Linux, so I can delete or edit files on my Windows from Linux if that helps.
