Hey all, I was just wondering if you guys/gals could help me out with some parts that I have already chosen to be apart of my next desk. It's somewhat like the Galant desk combination already but it has a few variations to suite my needs.
Preconfigured Galant desk combination:
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S69905802/#/S69905802
Custom Galant/Alex desk combination list:

http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/InterestItemDisplay?storeId=12&quantity=1&langId=-1&catEntryId=730306&interestListId=153809892&listId=153809892&ddkey=http:IrwUpdateShoppingList

I made up a diagram to help yous out on what I'm thinking about. I would make a 3D model from Solid Edge now (which I will most certainly make maybe tomorrow) but I just want to get your feedback as soon as possible.

I'd like to know if I got the measurements correct (every 5cm:60cm/1:12), and more importantly I hope the image transfer from paint - snipping tool - imgur - this post doesn't mess with the ratio.

And right now I'm thinking of having the longer side against the far wall, and then having the storage unit on the other end of the desk. So just imagine the image but flipped up and turned 90o anticlockwise :PI'm wanting to eventually have 2 monitors set up, one for gaming/general use and the other for productivity. I have no plans for speakers but I would like to have room for my laptop too.

So what I would like to know is if everything here would work well, and just your general opinion on it.

Cheers!

Edit:

The ratio is off, so I'll try and explain the measurements with the ratio I used.

So the Corner Table is a total 160cm long and 120cm wide, with the actual width of the table being 60cm.

buy 4 or 5 sticks and 2 sheets of wood and BOOM you got a table in the exact size you want :)

I've got no crafting skills or equipment. And I'd like to have something that looks nice, not just something I made for $60.

Dam that's small, I will make a 3D rendering of half my room so everyone knows the situation. I'll be back in about 30 minutes to an hour with a rendering.

No I won't, left my laptop at work ~.~

The picture :P

And when I downloaded it and zoomed in it's super blurry, just upload it to imgur and paste the link in. I'll look at it in the morning, it's 20 past 12 here in Aus atm

They look nice and doesn't require any crafting skills what so ever. I just moved and we chose to go with the ikea desk thing because nothing else compares in price/quality.

The nice thing is that you can choose to go cheap or expensive, it all comes down to your own preferences.

Well the parts list I've put together is quite expensive imo, probably 300 AUD for the corner table top, storage unit, the 3 T legs and shipping.

Edit:

Does it matter what side of the table is facing upwards?? If not than I could have the longer side against the far wall and the storage unit supporting it instead of another T leg.

And I just went over to the Aus store and I found the prices were a lot fkin more than just the conversion rates, I'm reconsidering even getting a desk from IKEA seeing as the desk without the storage unit it's $460!!!!

There is predrilled holes on one side. So yes it's important to face the table the right way.

Lol even in Denmark the tables are pretty cheap, atlest compared to what similary tables cost and Denmark is considerd one of the most expensive places to live (though a nice salary comes with it )

Well I've only just got a part time job, and I've got almost no monies from spending it on my gaming and mining PCs  :(

But that being said I REALLY want a new desk, and I already know IKEA has a large variety.

OK this is creepy.. I was just at Ikea today...

I cant say about the measurements but I know that desk can hold WAAAAYYY more than what you're planning to put on it. Could fit 4-5 monitors on there if you really wanted to.

Well I was looking at the corner desk on the US store and I was happy with just getting that and the Alex storage unit, but then on the Aus site there is only a super tiny corner one and the Alex unit is 2x the price (not including conversion)

@The-youri @jesper101996 @kingzogan
So I've finally got Solid Edge working, soon I'll have something together and I'd like to know what you guys think.
Finally got it done, got distracted half way through lol.

Now, what I'd like to know is how many legs I would need. I'm thinking of using the A leg ones, but I have no idea how many I should have and where I should put them.
