750 Ti is faster and that particular 750 Ti seems to require a 6 pin power connector

I might be wrong, but the equivalent to the 750ti is the r7 260, or maybe 265.

If you're building a PC for gaming you should consider saving up a little more and getting a 270, 270x, 760 or 280 though.

It's the 260x that's equivalent to the 750 Ti with the 265 being closer in performance to the 270 than the 260x. That being said I do agree, you should only get a lower end card if you are very constrained by your budget and it won't improve anytime soon. I'm not saying that the 750 Ti is bad, it's quite a capable little card but the primary concern when building a Gaming PC is the GPU in almost all cases so saving up for a better GPU would be a smart move.

gtx 750ti -$120 is the best entry lvl card I recommend (if you don't have a good PSU) don't bother getting the OC version that requires a 6pin

r9 270-$140 is lowest costing mid ranged gpu + it OC's like a beast (into a 270x or better)

I wouldn't ever bother with gtx 750ti OC,7770, 7790, r7 series 240, 250 260 all seem like a waste.

the 7770 rebrand is a 250x which isn't a isn't near a 750ti in performance plus the 750ti can overclock loads sometimes xD
