geforce driver 340.52 installation cannot continue

SO basicly i have just recently god a new graphics card and why not get the latest drivers, so when i tried installing it just said installation cannot continue.

 

Any smart suggestions?

Try Driver Sweeper to remove all your current drivers, then try to install the latest drivers from the internet.
Aditionally, this may seem like a really silly suggestion. But did you make sure you selected the right GPU from the dropdown when dling the drivers?


 

 

Flash BIOS?

I wouldn't. Flashing GPU bios is to great of a risk of a brick for something like this... Don't see a correlation either.

Try the previous drivers to that one. (338)

I also had an issue when installing the 340 where my PC froze and restarted, but it still installed.
