I have a 660ti and I really feel like the performance isn't doing it for me, so I would like to upgrade my GPU. On the other hand though I only have $300 and I'm 14 so there is no possibility of me getting a job for another year or so and I don't get paid for chores either so do you guys think that I should wait until september for the 800 series ( will they even be in my budget? ) or should I just purchase another 660 ti and go SLI? Any help would be appreciated!

I only get like 20fps on Far Cry 3 on medium settings so yea it is pretty unbearable, but should I get another 660ti or a 770?

R9 280X/290, they outperform the 770.

Don´t SLI an outdated GPU like a 660 Ti it won´t satisfy you because every R9 290/GTX780 is going to be faster in single mode. It isn´t that bad in all reality and it will be interesting to see what happens to all GPU pricing around 300-500 USD when the new GTX 800 series will be released (also you can save up some more money)

20 fps at medium settings on Far Cry 3, well something is wrong mate because mine is maxxed out as high as it will go and I'm mostly over 45 fps on a GTX 660

I meant to say 40 not 20 lol! But still 40 is not up to my standards, which is 60fps, I really hate playing at lower than 60 fps!

may I ask whats your processor? a 860/ti(or 870 non ti who really knows) ? might be between a 770 and 780  (closer to 780) if not than on par with a 780.

if you can't wait you can't go wrong with anything around a 280x/290 but bare in mind you could get price drops with maxwell so you could get a better card for the same price.

Turn off AA, turn down settings?

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

This is what I was thinking, 660 Ti is not that far behind a 670. I was playing Far Cry 3 maxed out with 2X MSAA without any issues at all with my 670. Was doing 50 average fps @ these settings just fine.

I meant to say 40fps, but I had AA turned up all the way that is what caused such low fps.
