Audio Cable Not Working when bent

Go to solution Solved by Fred Castellum,

Replace the wire. If you can't you'll probably have to ghetto mod the existing wire to get it to work, you need to find out where the wire is damaged.

If you have a soldering iron and can get to the connection that has detached, you can probably fix it. Silver solder and a $10 iron has saved me a lot of money. Otherwise it's trash.

If it has a removable cable then you can replace it. If not, you're going to be buying some new headphones.

It's easier to make a new cable than to fix the old one usually because the wires they use are usually coated. If you try to fix the old one you probably gotta sand where the break is to solder the break together.
