Hey guys, just trying to help a friend with a gaming build and as stated in the title, he has 1k to spend. There aren't really any other restrictions besides that. He would prefer to have an SSD but it's not strictly necessary (don't worry about the cost of an OS). I've given it a try already and I have 2 builds. What do you guys think?http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/TKbvD3

Thanks

All I can say is stay away from kingston ssd now. It might be the cheapest but it's because they changed the manufacturing process and it's literally barely reaching half the speed specs. It's not but a little better than a WD Black at this point. I think the only ssd to go for right now is the samsung evo. It's the only drive that truly always works at advertised speed if not more.

Nice! Just out of curiosity, how good is the FX-6300 compared to the i3? (I don't have much experience with AMD)

In some games it will be more powerful than the i3 but not as powerful as the i5 in single threaded applications the i3 will be better though
