Should i? (psu question)

So ive wanted a modular psu for a bit now (cant put back panel on :P ) and i dont want to get a psu that couldn't support xfire if i decide to do that in the future. So my friend said there is a 90% chance hes building a pc this year so i offered him my psu for a pretty decent price and he accepted. I went to umart and found this

Wtf

So obviously it makes no sense to buy the v850. It may be a mistake but i was wondering should i buy??

i have about $400 spending money until the end of the year. 

(also think of the e-peen :P )

Its a decent cpu I guess but it might be useful if you get a second 290

If you intend to run only 2 graphics cards then http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220g20850xr is by miles the superior option. If you intend to run more than 2 then get the V1000. That PSU is really good as well.

ill look into it i don't have to buy atm . i just wanted to see if this was a good price for the v1000 because of the weird pricing :)

You can get it for as low as $189 so I would look on pcpartpicket when looking at prices :D. Also with this situation (lesser more expensive than better) it is either a promo thing or it is simply a mistake that will be rectified. PCpartpicker is good when looking at prices :P.

@ShadowCaptain I think ill get the evga supernova 850 when my friend orders because he is known for saying something then not going ahead with it :P im also selling him my ram so i can get blue ram, so i can order that then too :)

The V1000 doesn't even show up in AUS PCpartpicker O_O. 

 

Makes no sense lol.

The EVGA is a perfect choice (just saw you going for it :P).
