AMD FX 4130 Black Edition for $39.99

Axypha

It was already one of my favorite budget gaming CPU's, but this is just a steal. It has similar performance to an Intel i3 3220, which costs more than double. It's $40.00 off at the Micro Center for In-Store purchase. Definitely something to consider for anyone who's building a budget gaming PC. The only decent con I could find with this is that the Power Consumption is a bit high.

Define "near." Because I live near a MicroCenter, it just depends if I feel like driving 6 hours to get there.

tbh. i almost bought a 4130 over the G3258. but the motherboards are shit in the combo deals.

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=9083393&CatId=14 that seems like a ok deal but the motherboard is shit and the reviews on the headsink suck too

I got http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130760 combo'd with a pentium for 80 bucks? yeah.... light years ahead of a better motherboard.

The best combo deal I've seen has got to be Newegg's G3258 with the MSI Z97 U3 Plus mobo. That was fantastic. I picked on up myself and sold the mobo so I basically got the cpu for about $30. For a friend's build, that deal was gone already so I had to settle for Microcenter's bundle with the MSI Z97 PC Mate mobo and trying to sell that mobo now.

Well... Off for a little swim... Across the Atlantic ocean... Just to get a cheap FX 4130...

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.

True, but those people that are in the States it's only a matter of how far are you willing to drive and is the gas still cheaper than ordering online.
