im not sure what the evo costs, but that would be a good SSD. otherwise, Adata has some good ones

There's a pretty big bottleneck between the video card and CPU though.

Crucial mx100 would be my recommendation, solid performance similar to an 840 evo whilst being cheaper.

I like this build for the most part, but I think that's paying quite a bit too much for the SSD. I know the 840 Pro series is really nice, but for that amount of money, he could still afford a pretty decent SSD with double the capacity. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/crucial-internal-hard-drive-ct256mx100ssd1

that athlon x4 will seriously bottleneck that 280x even my a8 5600k (same cpu with igpu) bottlenecked my 660 and it was OCED to 4.4  ghz. It was noticable mostly in games that have multiplayer for example bf4, cod bo2, even minecraft was bottlenecked. No intel fanboy I love amd used them as my first 2 computers.

It seriously works well. My friend has it and it doesn't even bottleneck his 280

It seriously works well. My friend has it and it doesn't even bottleneck his 280

these are rough estimates with my 660 with a8 5600k oced to 4.4:

bf4: 29-37 fps very choppy and a lot of stuttering-at ultra in 64 man multiplayer-at operataion locker

minecraft: 90-150 fps- maxed out with optifine mod-a lot of dips and a little bit of stuttering

bo2 multiplayer: 101 fps- maxed out with 4xaa- in nuketown and hijacked

Now my 4690k oced to 4.4 with 660 and same settings:

bf4: 45-60 very smooth

minecraft: 290+ smooth no stuttering

bo2: 145+ buttersmooth

My point is if it can bottleneck a 660 it can sure as hell bottlneck a 280.

My reccomendation for cpus for gaming is 6300, 8320 or 8350, and any i5 from 2500k to 4690k

It really doesn't bottleneck the 760K is muuuuch better than an amd APU

Plus you're playing CPU intensive games

they are the same fucking chip fucktard and I even oced it to 4.4 the only difference is that my a8 has also a igpu and no shit i'm playing cpu intensive games to point out how weak it is and how it will bottleneck the 280 and dude I have had personal experience about this and I don't want another person making the same mistake

How am I the idiot when I've played on this setup and never had a problem? Plus you linked the wrong chip btw

the 760 k is slightly oced a little otherwise they are the same and you played once on his setup I played on that setup for over a year and I had a horriable experience lots of stuttering I just showed what my fps was like and if there was stuttering or not I hate it when people say shit when they have no fucking clue what they are talking about.
