This needs bob Marley in it! Good tune, I quite like it, but when the dums are in at about 0:55, the needs to be a sort of drum solo part, only a few seconds but i think that would make it sound more reggae, if that's what you are after.

The transition at about 10 seconds in seems a little out of place and too sudden... apart from that seems like a nice reggae beat :)

If you want the goldmine of reggae samples, look to Dub albums from people like king tubby, lee perry, mad professor, sly and robbie and scientist to name a few.

 

Even in the first couple of minutes of this one there are so many interesting sounds.

 

 

 

this has a low bassline and a very loopable beat.

 

 

The UB40 album 'signing off' has some fucking great sounds on it

 

dat intro, the way the bass just slips in and the beat after is a nice touch
