Wanting to choose RAM - Help?

Go to solution Solved by Clyne,

But what kind of RAM? I considered Corsair Vengeance Pro but a lot of people I know said it was terrible. I also will be using Adobe Premier Pro a lot.

Kingston HyperX Fury 16GB 1866mhz  You can chose from red, blue, black, and blue colors.

I've started the process of ordering parts for my new PC I'm building but I can't decide what type of RAM to get, I know I want 16GB but I don't know what RAM I should get, so can anyone help me?

In case you need to know these are the parts it will go with:

NZXT H440 Case

Corsair AX860 PSU

Asus Maximus VII Hero Motherboard

Intel Core i7 4790k processor

Corsair H100i CPU Cooler

EVGA GeForce GTX 780ti GPU

Seagate 4TB Hard Drive

Intel 730 Series 240GB SSD

Windows 8.1

Also, for this rig I will mostly be playing games and editing videos and using photoshop frequently.

Thanks!

Magna

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Get 16gb of ram at 1866 mhz. Should be good for gaming and phototshop.

@Magna any dual channel 16GB kit will do. Normally aesthetics isn't a concern when choosing unless you have a lot of money/are picky(like me)

Try to aim for a 1600mhz frequency as a base, 1866mhz is quite nice 2133mhz. Low cast latency = CL 9-11 is fine.
