So I'm going to be slowly upgrading/updating/changing my rig. Which is yet to be named.

IDC WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT MY RIG. There are some changed I want to make.

One of the upgrades includes buying an 880. That will most likely be the 2nd last upgrade.

Upgrade Plans: (In no order)

-New Desk

-Smaller Case

-Watercooling

-GTX 880 (possibly ti)

-New Monitor

1. Now, the desk I already have planned out, don't need help with that.

2. New case, simple enough. CM Storm Scout 2 is my choice. this is critical for watercooling, I need to know rad mounts and such.

3. I need much help with this. Will mention below.

4. buy a new GPU a bit after it releases, simple enough.

5. Will be detailed below.

Watercooling

All I know so far is the res/pump I want. I don't know any thing about tubing/fittings. So I'll need help picking those out.

KEEP IN MIND THIS IS A LONG WAY DOWN THE ROAD

What I'm thinking for parts

For the W/B I'm thinking getting an EK Supremacy block for the CPU and a EK 880 (ti?) block with the stock pcb. As the GPU is not released yet, you can just recommend brands I guess. For the CPU, feel free to recommend whatever you think is best. I have a 4770k.

For the Res I'm going to be picking up a Swiftech Maelstrom V2.

For the tubing/coolant, IDK gimme ideas!

For the fittings, IDK gimme ideas! I know about compression fittings, but I forget about the other one.

For the Radiators, I need to check the mount spots on the case I want, I think it has 2 120mm ones. The case has space for 2x 120mm fans in both the front and the top. Make what you will of that. I do believe that means I can fit 2x rads that can have 2 120mm fans correct? I know nothing about Watercooling!  The Case I wanted has almost no watercooling potential. I'll look for a new one.

Monitor Stuff

I want an IPS Monitor minimum 60Hz, 3 or less ms response time, and under 200$.

This is more immediate and will probably be up and coming by december.

Thanks for the help!

All edits will be highlighted in Orange.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

I think you're SOL with a monitor that has those specs. They'll all be 5ms +

The H236HL is pretty popular in that price bracket. Personally I'd pony up the extra $40 for the U2414H.

Ti would kind of be a waste at 60hz 1080p.

If you want watercooling then go with the Enthoo Pro..

Any Dell Ultrasharp IPS monitor will do but if you want 60Hz then you have no need for the 880(ti)

1. I have 2 friends that have IPS panels with 4/2 ms response time.

2. Not just one mate. Later I'll be picking up 2 more ;)

@MikeTz

I'm buying all local and that crap they pulled with the "fake drive bay I/O" turned me off of an otherwise fantastic chassis.

Well If you insist its your choice but just the space for radiators for a watercooling build would benefit you greatly..

Anyway if you dont like it then I suppose the Scout is a good replacement.. :D

It's also good for portability, I take my pc places sometimes, scout 2 has a nice handle!

I do believe that's the one my friend has.

That's a completely different monitor, it has a TN panel.

Your tv likely has massive amounts of input lag.

You'll be fine with even 8ms in comparison.

Then I'll pick up a 5 or so

I think I'll get the Phanteks Enthoo Pro, or anything else I can find. I like everything about the Pro except the I/O.

So if I can find something good for watercooling that has not gimmicky I/O. feel free to suggest. PLEASE DO
