Youtue quailty

Arty

is their any reason (for me) to go above 1080p on youtube? I have a 1280by720 screen. and is the quality ON youtube any better at above 1080p?.Keep in mind im saying 1080p versus 720p because youtube only supports 60fps at 1080+, so is their any difference? In a perfect world the answer is no, i know, but its not so is their?

Yes, because youtube vids are compressed you can get a higher bitrate stream by selecting higher than what your monitor can display and the PC will downscale it to whatever your monitor's resolution is so long as your hardware is up to it.

This results in less compression artifacts, I have a 1050 screen and watch stuff in 4k on it because it's much crisper than 1080p due to the above.
