Factory overclocked just means they already overclocked it a bit for you.

The reference cooler will not perform as well as the AMP cooler, but you should stillbe able to overclock it easily.

Just make sure your temps are safe and overclock as far as you possibly can.

So that means I can make it like AMP! one, right?

no. you cannot make it exactly like the AMP one because all silicon is different as is going to overclock slightly differently.

you might get a card which can't handle anything above what the manufacturer gave you, and you might get one that will go 300+mhz over base clock and still be completely stable

So, if I want to be on safe side I should overclock it a little, but I don't think that it will make some difference!

I should better not overclock it. ^_^

No, not at all. This all depends on the chip you get. You might be able to overclock past the AMP. It is just about finding how far your specific card can go.

Here is a little step by step:

Download unigine heaven 4.0

Download MSI afterburner

In afterburner push the core clock up 50.

Run unigine.

If it is stable push the overclock some more.

If it is not stable, increase your voltage and power limits while keeping an eye on the temps. I wouldn't want it to go past 85c.

Then find where it is stable at the highest voltage you can go.

No, I don't feel like it.

While playing Watch_Dogs at everything ultra, I smell sort of plastic smell, and GPU remains at 70C.

I am not overclocking it.

Um ok? Just to let you know that 70c is perfectly normal. But if you don't want to overclock it I'm not going to argue with you. :)

make sure your power supply is up to the task. a hot plastic smell is likely not the graphic card.
