power light on front panel comes on but nothing else and there is only one pin left and power switch has two holes am a noob to building

Make sure everything is plugged in correctly and the PSU switch is flipped on.

Did you follow the instructions correctly? And it sounds stupid, but is the PSU switched on?

Current Rig: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, Abit IN9-32MAX nForce 680i board, Galaxy GT610 1GB DDR3 gpu, Cooler Master Mystique 632S Full ATX case, 1 2TB Seagate Barracuda SATA and 1x200gb Maxtor SATA drives, 1 LG SATA DVD drive, Windows 10. All currently runs like shit :D

yep everything is plugged in the only light that comes on is power switch on front panel  mobo has 4 pin but wiring harness has 6 pin connector do i need an adapter 

Wait, are you sure you only have a 4 pin? Some motherboards have 6 or even 8 nowadays.

The 6 pin is pcie and not cpu. There should be a 4+4 pin to connect to your mobo.
