power light on front panel comes on but nothing else and there is only one pin left and power switch has two holes am a noob to building

Make sure everything is plugged in correctly and the PSU switch is flipped on.

Did you follow the instructions correctly? And it sounds stupid, but is the PSU switched on?

yep everything is plugged in the only light that comes on is power switch on front panel  mobo has 4 pin but wiring harness has 6 pin connector do i need an adapter

Wait, are you sure you only have a 4 pin? Some motherboards have 6 or even 8 nowadays.

have you plugged the front IO cables on to the correct headers on your motherboard.  just in case you have maybe put you on button on the wrong plug

The 6 pin is pcie and not cpu. There should be a 4+4 pin to connect to your mobo.

went back through whole set up and got int wired right still same results thanks for the help might take it with me to mirco center and let them check it out
