Unofficial Forum Notifier [Desktop] [iOS+Android soon]

PC-NOOB

Hey Guys!

Preface:

I am a high school student that recently got into programming.

This is my first app. :)

This is my 100th post on the forum as well.

I dug through the forum notification apps and did not find one for iOS.

That's why I decided to make a forum notifier as a fun little project.

This was developed in Java with libGDX.

Once I upgrade to Mavericks on my MBP and pay the $100 developer fee to Apple, I will release an iOS and Android app.

(Its ready, but haven't tested it yet.)

On first launch, you must enter your credentials in the forum and click apply. Then click return to home.

On subsequent launches, you are directly taken to home and can revise login creds in the preferences.

Please note that a file called prefs.json will appear in the same directory as the jar.

Your login creds are stored in that and the contents of that file will be encrypted in the next release.

It pings the forum every 10 seconds for notifications.

This is supposed to be a mobile notifier.

In libGDX, I need to develop the core project first and then port to android/ios.
