So I have a 2500k and my z68 motherboard doesn't have a internal USB 3.0 header and I want to get an H440 and use the front USB 3.0. Will I be able to use the internal USB 3.0 header on the motherboard on a z77 motherboard?

The reason that I am asking this is to be sure because some sites says no.

Yes but you have to use an adapter like this one here:

USB-3.0---USB-2.0-adapter__76621_zoom.jp

But you won't have the bandwidth usb 3.0 has to offer but that doesnt matter

That's not what I meant

I want the internal USB 3.0 header on a z77 motherboard to work with front USB 3.0 on a sandy bridge CPU

Aslong as the board has an internal usb 3.0 header it will work regardless of the cpu. The USB 3.0 controller is in the southbridge aka z77 not in the cpu.

Yes, thank you. I was concerned because of these posts:

Yes the USB 3.0 header runs off the chipset not the CPU.

Uh huh, I'm going to say you didn't otherwise you would have seen someone had already corrected me or you're a self righteous ass that constantly needs to prove your own point.
