Wifi Halp!

Hey guys I have a usb wifi adapter and under drivers it is up to date and the device says working properly but when you launch any wifi application spotify google exc it works maybe 1/30 times lol! When I click the wifi bars bottom right to chose a network to connect to there aren’t even both my wifi bands? And if it actually does ever connect it stays connected for like 15 seconds….And when I connect it says cant connect to this network or when it does connect and google wont work I run network diagnostics and it says nothing is wrong!!! My ipv4 is connected but for some reason my ipv6 says not connected? Anything you can walk me through would be great J

WiFi? Ethernet or a decent powerline kit.
