Alright so a friend of mine is building a new PC and wants to do a final check.

The main purpose of this build is going to be gaming. He has 2 1080p monitors, one which he will be gaming on and the other will only be used for browsing.

Budget: 900$

These are the parts he picked;

No overclocking will be done, and he already has the storage drives.

If you have any suggestions for this build be sure to let me know,

Thanks

@SAV1OUR @Frankz

I5 is better for gaming so I would suggest to stick with the I5. As for the R9 290 change though I completely agree. It's about the same price and gives a lot more performance. I would suggest either the Powercolor PCS+ one or Sapphire Tri-x though, they are quite simply better than gigabyte, MSI, etc. Also a 650W is overkill for an I5 4690 and an R9 290. 550W is more than enough.

Here you go (No MIR/Promo)

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861
