Hi all !

ALXAndy

Hello there every one. I'm ALXAndy, also known as AlienALX, AlienwareAndy and so on and so forth.

I couldn't find anywhere else to introduce myself so here will suffice :)

I'm 39 years old, happily settled with my beautiful fiancee and a huge computer fan. (not something that moves air, the other type).

I live in Dorset about three miles away from Sandbanks here in sunny (or rather, freezing) England.

Until recently I was running an Alienware Area 51 ALX (Dell) with a Xeon E3 1220 and 670 SLI etc (I'll post rig specs later). Sadly my motherboard (an MSI) died during a bios flash (known fault) and MSI have been a bit dickish about it, taking nearly a month now with no replacement sent.

I decided to buy a new board and CPU and went with the 8320 to be a bit more future proofed. I've only just set it up but am noticing the common things with it, namely about the same as the Xeon in some things but in games like Crysis 3 it really hauls some serious ass.

Always been a huge fan of building my own Alienwares and quite a bit of experience under my belt (as well as a rather large tummy) :D

Hopefully I can fit in here !

Andy.

Yay for the welcomes !

I'm still benchmarking my machine but I must say I am very impressed by the 8320 so far. I have beaten my 3dmark scores (11 and 13). Crysis 3 just absolutely sings on the AMD :D
