Does anyone have any recommendations for clearing storage space on my SSD. I use the SSD for OS and a HDD for storage. I will always install a new program on the HDD yet my SSD is running out of space?

use space sniffer, find out what is using all your space

Pagefile and the hibernation file are huge no-no's for SSD space. Make the former small since, for some reason, some programs are weird if there is no pagefile in spite of having enough ram while the latter is completely useless. Both are hogs at taking up space. Just make your pagefile be small and disable the hibernation file all together.

Download spacesniffer as surgested above and turn off hibernation and delete the files for it, disable system restore and back up using windows backup and create a system image to another harddrive , also you can download ccleaner and use that to clear any files your system does not need, you can also move the windows page file to another hard drive if you have over 8Gb of ram :D and are not a super heavy user e.g video editing, you can also try to prioritise programs e.g put like 1 game

On the SSD and certain programs you use all the time

And need speedy access too :D hope this helps

Edit- also uninstall windows internet explorer i saved 1.7gb when i did this and i never use it :D

What should I reduce my virtual memory too? I have 8gb of physical memory.

This is only a test
