My vote goes to the R9 290, with the Tri-X aftermarket cooler.

Seconded. The Sapphire Tri-x R9 290 is one of the best cards out there (THE best when counting price/performance as well as other things). If slightly out of your budget then drop to a sapphire R9 280X.

Sapphire Tri-X Radeon R9 290?

That's the one. It's a brilliant card with absolutely smashing performance and that Tri-X cooler keeps it at nice temperatures.

hi, whats the best cards out there at the moment for the price, as i know there are new models coming out soon, i do not wana go mad buying now, and no i cannot wait haha

I like these cards:

But Seriously, the R9 290 is pretty good bang for your buck. I personally Like Nvidia, and in that case, the 780 is a good card as well.

Just look up benchmarks and see how much FPS you want in your games, and then decide on how much you want to spend.

Just make sure to get an aftermarket cooler on the R9s, stock cooler isn't very good.
