so yesterday i got my DT 990 PRO's and was enjoying them for a while playing a rhythm game, then suddenly, the game bugs out really wierdly (i can make a video on it, i have it recorded from twitch if anyone wants to see it) then the audio just flat out refuses to work, so i reopen the game, and it's back to normal, but about half an hour later it happens again! so at this point i remembered it had happened before, when i was using my speakers from the rear 3.5mm port, but i bypassed this by plugging them into my monitor's output, so i had completely forgotten about it.

if anyone can shed some light on this it would be most appreciated.

google has not been useful D:

you can see me motherboard in my sig, i dont really think anything else would be useful

thanks

Karumu

Do you have the latest audio drivers installed? http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=Crosshair+V+Formula-Z&os=30

Is it just that game that has problems or anything audio related? The audio section of that board might be shorting out somewhere, although I highly doubt it.

The audio will work regards of drivers installed or not. Drivers enhance the bridge between software and hardware. I would first try installing/re-installing the audio driver. If that does not solve the problem, I suspect a defective board, try contacting ASUS on the matter.
