Help! mouse problems

I had an usb fan, then it stopped working. Some time after that my mouse's sensor got really dim and now it cant use it on black surfaces. May these incidents be linked? Did the usb fan do something to my computer? Is my usb port voltage too low for some reason?  

 

 

My power supply is 550w

 

The mouse is the razer naga 2012

 

And the usb fan is just some random store bought pile of scrap

 

 

Is my usb port voltage too low for some reason?

You could test your USB port voltage if you wanted.

 

However, I just think it's just both things wearing out over time.

Personally i think you have a defective mouse. Surely a mouse should last longer than two years.

Try a different mouse and/or sacrifice a usb cable and test the voltage with a multimeter
