High-pitched noise from computer

Hi,
my computer has a really high pitched sound which starts as soon as I hit the power button. However, it isn't a coil whine, and it isn't constant, meaning that it sometimes 'stutters' or stops for a second before it continues. I have checked the fans and removed the system speaker but the noise is still there. any ideas?

try moving the pc when you hear the sound that will tell you if it is from a spinning part the sound should get worse or stop when you tilt your computer as the gyroscopic effect will make the spinning objest try to stay on that plane

 

EDIT: i used to get coil whine on my 780ti

That does sound like coil whine to me. Just because it's more recogniseable in older transformers at its 50-60 Hz pitch doesn't mean it's not that. Although it could also be a bad bearing in a fan or a hdd.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

It's coil whine, most likely coming from the PSU or the graphics card.

oh and it's a constant sound, it just sometimes stops for a second or two

try stress testing see if it gets louder

okay so I searched some more and found this video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QWmQKM7v2Q. Mine has a similar sound. The problem is probably that I changed my motherboard recently and the psu just doesn't like it, and now I'm stuck with this noise :/
