How to switch devices?

I have my speakers plugged into the rear black jack, and my headphones in the rear green jack, how can I switch between each device without having to remove them?

I have one of these lying around somewhere, which jack do I plug it into?

Just plug it into the audio jack on the mobo or sound card.

Anyone at all, as I use black for speakers and green for headphones?

Just put it in the green. What it will do is transmit the audio through both at the same time. 

Just tried this, it splits the sound between 2.

 

Only one side of each device works...

Then you don't have a stereo to stereo splitter.

Might as well just buy a Syba DAC. B)

Okay it arrived today and it works, but now, is there a way to turn down the Speakers and keep the Headphones turned up?

 

It's just because with my Blue Snowball everyone can hear themselves echo as it comes through the Speakers, and that is where my Blue Snowball is...
