Computer doesn't load or see USB devices

ShogunZ
Go to solution Solved by Archangel1994,

Maybe power management settings dictate that they are to be kept off to save power. Check the power management settings on all the usb stuffs. Otherwise try re-updating the chipset and USB drivers and check in bios whether they are turned on.

As the title says, my computer doesn't see any usb devices I plug in. It says all hubs are installed properly in device manager. But when I plug in anything that's a drive like a usb-stick or external HD it just doesn't see it. My mouse, keyboard and wireless controller receiver all work. I've tried both usb 2.0 and 3.0.

Some specs:

I'm running Windows 7.

CPU-fx8350

Motherboard-M5A99X EVO 2.0

1 TB HDD and an SSD

He most likely has since he already stated that device manager indicates they are correctly installed. Otherwise he would mention yellow triangles.

I checked off the power saving settings and rebooted. It's working now, thanks!
