Messed up Graphics Splinter Cell

I bought Splinter Cell: Blacklist a couple days ago, nut when I went to try it out today it had to do a bunch of updates. After 20 minutes it was done but the game started in 800x600 and never gave me a menu to change the resolution. The whole first 5 minutes are all cutscenes and they were lagging quite hard. After about 3 minutes I got these artifacts.

I really don't think it is my GPU, as all other games run perfectly fine.

 

Any ideas?

Corrupted install could be it. Did you change the resolution after the cutscenes then retry to see if you got the artifacts?

Off=topic I know. Can you link your steam? About the Game, It might be corrupt install, or improper install.Uninstall and a fresh download. Did you fully update it?Or did you check if the game was fully updated?

Corrupted install, most likely. Uninstall it completely and then do a fresh download.

Try setting the correct graphics settings before redownloading etc. It would be a shame if you wasted time redownloading.

O_O. That sounds a download gone bad alright. Corrupted installs are shite to deal with but they happen. Guess you have to try a Re-download without interruption of the download.

first time i did the download i paused it and continued another day...guess i learned my lesson with uplay 

 

did an uninstall. will download it over night.

great. now I am getting really poor fps in all my games. just played CS:S and get drops to 20 fps usually I run it +200fps. I'll try the beta driver otherwise i am done with this crap >.<

 

nvm, for some reason i had a driver from January installed ^^

 but the new driver didn't change any of that >.<

HELP! 

I reinstalled the game. Let it install the autopatch 1.0.1 and some update afterwards. Started the game and it mostly worked though the cutscenes had a few frame drops. Once the cutscenes were done, I went to play it my my gamepad and it didn't work. So I quit to desktop to research the problem and it seems i am not the only one, though Patch 1.0.1 supposedly fixed the issue. Anyways, I went to play the game again, and it installed the patch again >.<  When it was finally done, the game started automatically, but again in low res and with the same artifacts as above. WTH is going on?!! All other games work just fine.
