Hey,

I've got a question, will this watercooling system keep this cpu cooled?

Bit overkill I believe if you only plan on cooling your CPU. Rule of thumb: 240mm/component. With that setup you're going for the double of rad space. Perhaps save on the rad space and get a D5 pump? I've got no experience, but from what I've read D5 is quieter and stronger. So if you want to upgrade in the future, you won't have to change pumps. Read this, radiator section.

Good luck.

Hey,

I've got a question, will this watercooling system keep this cpu cooled?

Custom liquid cooling:

EK High Performance CoolStream 360 PE Series Liquid Cooling Radiator (EK-CoolStream PE 360 (Triple))

EK DDC X-Top w/ 3.25 PWM DDC Pump - Acetal (EK-DDC 3.25 PWM X-TOP CSQ - Acetal)

EK Supremacy Universal CPU Liquid Cooling Block - Acetal (EK-Supremacy - Acetal)

EK-MultiOption RES X3 400 - Liquid Cooling Reservoir (6 Total Ports)

Bitspower Matte Black G1/4" Barb Fitting - 1/2" ID (BP-MBWP-C01)

XSPC FLX Premium Grade PVC Tubing - 1/2" ID (3/4"OD) - 2 Meter (6.5 Feet) Retail Pack - UV Red

Mayhems X1 Coolant Premix - 1L - UV Red

Thanks!

The comfortable clearance in the top of the 750D is 80mm. Only a 360mm will fit provided you aren't using the 5.25" drive bays. The PE series from EK is high fpi, which means you'll have to run the fans at high rpm to get the best performance. I propose some changes. 360mm Alphacool XT45, Primochill Advanced LRT tubing, clear (you already have colored coolant).

@ItxCrow - Don't think any AIO manufactuor makes a red AIO unit, you may need to go custom loop for that one. Try frozencpu.com , they have heaps of color themed stuff there.

@isaacbaker64 - Bud i think you made need to pull the cpu block off and reapply some paste and stick it back down. make sure you clean the cpu and block first.

If that still isn't working, bump the fan speed up. If it's still high after that, jump into corsair link after that and see what your pump speed is. If its lower than 2000rpm, you may want to contact the place you bought it from and consider RMA.

AIO are not much better than the best air units about.

MOBO: ASUS X79 Pro CPU: i7 3820 Ram: Corsair Vengence 32Gb 2133mhz (8x4) GPU: 2 x Sapphire R9 290 in X-fire PSU: Seasonic G series 750w Drives: 1 x 750 gig WD black, 3x WD Black 1TB, 1 x Segate Barrcuda 1 TB, 1 x Toshiba 2TB, Intel 520 240gig SSD Case: Enthoo Primo w/ Green and Blue LED lighting.

You and me both, I'm having trouble finding any rad at a good price that fits my case.

The rule of thumb is not 240 per component, its 240 for the CPU and 120 for each additional block, mobo and ram are 120 combined.

Half your heat issues are resulting from using auto OC,it always overvolts for clocks attained.

Try a manual OC instead....

  • 3 weeks later...

Hello! I just saw a review of the EK Coolstream pe 360 and maybe that will help you as well.. you do not need high RPM fan for it from what I saw here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZkdUx1oUR8A

but I may be wrong (please let me know if I am as I am thinking about getting that with some noctua fans :) )
