Windows 8.1 freezes

Go to solution Solved by Altecice,

Missed out the most important part. What is your PSU?

Hello,

first of all, I did search Google and the forums and I didn't find any topic that could help me.

My specs: Windows 8.1 Pro

Intel i5 3570K 3,4 Ghz overclocked to 4Ghz, tested multiple hours with prime95

GTX 650 Ti

8GB RAM

Samsung 840 EVO 120GB (Win) (Installed a week ago)

2 Old Hard Drives that I am using now for almost 6 years

The problem:

About the problem:

Sometimes Windows freezes after about 3 minutes of uptime. This doesn't happen everytime but it suddenly started getting annoying.

Ive had this problem even before installing the SSD and overclocking my CPU, and I don't wanna reinstall all my Games and Software so, does anyone know what this could be about?

Thanks a lot,

Rndphoenx

How is it freezing? Is the screen / sound locking up forcing you to turn it off and then power back on?

Screen locking, anything else normal

Missed out the most important part. What is your PSU?

CM B600, I figured that this was the problem. BUT:

The actual problem was SpeedFan starting up, so now the issue is solved and I am going to buy a new PSU soon.

Thanks for the help
